It's like Retweets...for Food!
We've just released a major update to Cookpad.it all centered around Cookmarks! Now, even if you don't write your own recipes, you can still join in the fun of cooking with Cookpad.it!
A Cookmark is like a bookmark - it's a way for you to mark recipes that you'd like to reference at a later point. Click the Add to Cookmarks button on any recipe:
...and it will get added to your My Kitchen area for later reference. But wait, there's more! When you get round to actually cooking recipes in your Cookmarks, you'll find there's a new option to share your creation with Cookpad.it and the original author. Here's my Cookmark list with a recipe I saved for Banana Ice Cream:
It's a great recipe - I cooked it and took a picture! Now wouldn't it be nice to give credit back to the original author AND share my creation with the world? Now you can! Click the "Cooked It" button next to the Cookmark and you'll be able to upload a picture and a comment:
This then gets turned into a "Retweet"-style page that you can share with your friends and has a link back to the original author, like this:
What's more, your "Retweeted" recipe will appear on the homepage, on your My Kitchen and on the original recipe page in the comments:
So even if you're not writing your own recipes, you can now build up your My Kitchen and keep all your cooking photos in one place :)
Enjoy and have fun!
